The Province of Gloucestershire
Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations, open to all cultures and backgrounds.
Our Province covers the old Gloucestershire county boundaries, with meeting places from Chipping Campden in the North, to Avonmouth in the South, from Coleford in the West to Cirencester in the East.
We have about 3000 members in this Province alone, all part of the greater national fraternity of around 200.000 members.
Since our foundation in 1717, our principal aims have remained the same. In short, these are:
• being considerate to others,
• helping those in need or distress,
• aspiring to be a better citizen.
